Sep 06, 2010 SAP Solution Manager Key Generator Posted on September 6, 2010 by redloff The following bash script should produce installation key for SAP Solution Manager (SOLMAN) basing on three input values: SID, SN and HOSTNAME. Jan 11, 2007 I am about to install SAP ECC 6.0 (NW2004s). I need SAP Solution Manager to generate the license key. I have SSM installed with a different client number and installation number. Is it possible to use this SSM to generate the key? My new client does not have the necessary hardware to install his own SSM.
The script is based on popular VB script available here: http://kohanov.com/tmp/sap_keys.vbs
Feel free to use/modify/redistribute the script for both private and commercial use.
To use the code, just paste it into a file (ex: solmankg.sh) Set execution rights (chmod 755 solmankg.sh) Execute the script with three arguments: SID, SN, HOSTNAME (ex: ./solmankg.sh AA1 00 FLUFFY)
